Join your fellow PBNY 2020 attendees for the boat ride of a lifetime. We’ll be taking a private evening boat ride around NYC so you can see the world’s most famous skyline and landmarks like the Statue of Liberty up close. Let’s cross this off your bucket list!
Share an unforgettable moment with your friends in the industry. Get that perfect Instagram shot. And best of all, kick back and network with industry leaders in a breathtaking and relaxed setting.
The boat ride will be free for everyone with a PBNY ticket. I will be arranging optional charter bus transportation for everyone who wants to travel there together stress free (it’ll also be more economical than getting there yourself, details below).
Some of you are traveling to NY with family (spouse/kids) but attending the conference solo. You are welcome to bring your family aboard with you on this tour as long as we are within the boat’s total capacity. Consider it my gift to your family for dealing with your crazy photo booth adventures.
Our boat cruise will be operated by Circle Line Cruises, New York’s premiere sightseeing cruise line.
Circle Line has perfected the fine art of the New York City sightseeing tour. Since first opening in 1945, they have hosted over 80 million passengers on their cruises.
Today, they’re the only cruise company in New York Harbor exclusively dedicated to sightseeing with boats specifically designed to let you see as much as possible in any weather. Their dedication to offering the best possible NYC experience has earned them worldwide recognition as one of the best boat rides in the world.
There will be snacks/drinks available for purchase on board if you desire.
We’ve partnered with US Coachways, an industry leading charter bus provider, to offer a convenient form of round trip transportation from TWA Hotel to the pier in NYC where the boat ride will disembark from. Although this is being offered as a courtesy and is optional, virtually every attendee is taking advantage of this option because: 1) it is stress free and handled for you, 2) it is more convenient than any alternative, 3) it is more economical than any alternative, 4) everyone travels together, and 5) there is a restroom at the back of each bus.
Lyft/Uber – I checked pricing for a Tuesday night at the times you’d need to book a ride back/forth (images below).
Lyft – Trip from hotel to pier – $65.67 for a vehicle with 4 people. Trip from pier to hotel – $75.40 for a vehicle for 4 people. Total $141.07 / 4 = $35.27 per person (not including tip). This also assumes you have a group of 4 people to split the ride & cost with.
Uber – Trip from hotel to pier – $67.58 for a vehicle with 4 people. Trip from pier to hotel – $67.11 for a vehicle for 4 people. Total $134.69 / 4 = $33.67 per person (not including tip). This also assumes you have a group of 4 people to split the ride & cost with.
Public Transportation – An AirTrain ticket is $7.75 per ride (round trip is $15.50). That gets you from JFK to Jamaica. Then you’d need an LIRR ticket from Jamaica to Penn Station – $7.75 per ride (round trip is $15.50). Then you can walk to the pier (1.1 miles) or buy an MTA subway ticket ($2.75 each way). Assuming you walk, this would still cost $31 total but come with the added stress of trying to figure everything out and get there on time. It would also take much longer than the other options as you have to wait for the next train at each transfer and may have to walk that last mile.
The Charter Bus option costs only $25 per person! It’s a no brainer.
